DUKE Print & Mail

For five decades, DUKE has consistently met – and often anticipated – its customers’ needs.  Consider this page “under construction” as we’re nowhere near finished growing!

1970’s. Blake C. Leduc, a Euclid Police Department detective, started a part-time printing business in 1974. When the business grew to include four employees in 1978, it was time to move out of the basement. In its first commercial location in Euclid, DUKE produced small printing jobs, including sports programs for local schools.

1980’s. DUKE moved to Mentor in 1981, adding larger printing equipment. Blake brought his sons into the business, added digital printing equipment and entered the mailing industry.

1990’s. At the beginning of the digital age, DUKE purchased desktop publishing computers, high-end 4-color printing equipment, and the first Indigo digital printing press in Cleveland. The business grew to over 30 employees and became a member of the Weatherhead 100 and the Fast Track 50 (Lake and Geauga counties’ fastest growing companies).

2000’s DUKE’s success continued, thanks to a high level of customer service and on-time delivery. In 2006 DUKE acquired Milbourn Pressworks, known for their high-quality short-run and wide-format printing. The business expanded to a second facility and a total of more than 70 employees.

Today DUKE is the largest printer in Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula counties, focused on providing unique programs such as web to print, fulfillment and kitting and digitally enhanced direct mail, in addition to its full array of printing solutions.
